The Pendulum
Last chance to see a new play by Alexander Fiske-Harrison
Set against the backdrop of a prosperous and progressive 1900 Vienna, The Pendulum is the tragic love story of Lieutenant Frierdrich von Leiben and Elena Suttner, a young artist whom the officer has recently met. Within a few months Friedrich and Elena are married. Questions soon arise about Elena’s Jewish ancestry, Friedrich’s jealousy, and whether such deeply felt, but unstable passion can survive in a world where prejudice and violence are ever present.
